Yesssss! Summer is vastly approaching, meaning it’s time to start making plans for the weeks or months that you have free. So, to get you all excited for the big break, take a look at some of the ways to make your summer unforgettable.
If travelling to the other side of the globe is not within your budget at the moment, (because it’s certainly not within mine) there are hundreds of sites that have great deals for quick and cheap getaways, like Groupon. For as cheap as £100 for flights and hotels you can visit some of the most amazing cities.
Festivals are such a good way to make you feel like you’re on holiday, even if you’re literally going down the road. Last year I went to the Wireless Festival in Birmingham, which is basically on my doorstep. It was amazing and definitely the highlight of my summer. So, get muddy, get drunk, enjoy the music, queue for the toilets for hours, wear something awesome, and get even more drunk.
Get out of your comfort zone
Whether its taking a bakery class or doing voluntary work, do something that you wouldn’t do before. Last summer I volunteered at Oxfam, which was a great experience, and I met some lovely people. It also felt nice knowing that I was helping others.
Hit the park up!
It’s not often that sun makes an appearance here in the UK, so if does put your shorts on, go to a park, take a walk, grab an ice-cream and enjoy the sunshine.
Start a project
The summer is loooong, meaning you have plenty of time to start something new. It could be starting your own YouTube channel or even creating a blog, like I did last year. Build, create or make something to make your summer unforgettable.
